Services

Our organization provides several services for families.

We have a lending library with a variety of books and videos available for use.  The materials are stored at the ARC and are free to anyone who would like to check one out.  Please click here for the list and description of each item.

We provide New Parent kits to the local hospitals.  Each kit contains a copy of "Babies with Down Syndrome, 2nd Edition", and a stuffed bear.  The kits have been very well received and have brought at least one new family to our membership.

We have money available to offset the cost to attend one national convention per year for two people.  We also have funds for travel to local conferences and meetings.  The application process is simply to attend a meeting and request the funds.

There are many professional services available for families in the area.

Early Intervention provides evaluations, recommendations and therapy from birth to age 3.  Contact 734 6577 for more information.

Chemung ARC provides a variety of services for family including service coordinators, respite care, work experience, residential services and help with a variety of financial forms.

Pathways provides service coordinators, residential services and respite care.
